Laura Baksa’s stone pools range from fieldstone fish and frog ponds to ornamental pools combining stone construction with mosaic surfaces. Fountains and waterfalls are also incorporated where desired.
Ornamental Pools
A recently completed ornamental pool (shown below) features a spectacular fish mosaic. The 10-sided pool has a 6-foot out diameter. The masonry interior structure is faced with Indian slate and bluestone caps. The mosaic that graces the bottom of the pool is shown below.
Below is another ornamental pool with marble mosaic bottom. The fish design is inspired by antique Roman artwork.
Meditation Fountains
Stone and wood fountain centered around pieces of driftwood and oak burls from which water flows onto marble-faced base.

In this example, three marble mosaic panels are mounted on pressure-treated timber frame. A sturdy bracket assembly at bottom of posts bolts them to basin, which is faced in travertine and marble.
